FAQ

At KAD Electricians, all materials we use are quality assured materials which are sourced from approved wholesalers and registered suppliers, offering a minimum of a 12-month guarantee.

Of course, we hold all required insurance certificates related to the work we carry out. This includes, but is not limited to public liability, employer liability, and personal indemnity. We can provide copies of these certificates on request, so you can be assured of a quality professional job being carried out.

VAT is automatically added to most products and services. A contractor who is not VAT registered cannot charge you VAT, however you will still pay VAT on the materials he supplies but wont show the VAT which is illegal. The difference is that as a VAT registered electrician, we will display the price with the VAT separated instead of having the full total without a split. The government decides businesses must be VAT registered when their turnover exceeds a certain amount, so it is a good thing to be VAT registered; it shows our hard work and reputation and that we are a trusted company.

Yes, we are NAPIT registered indeed. NAPIT is a leading Government approved and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited membership scheme operator in the building services and fabric sector. There are currently more than 18,000+ NAPIT registered installers in the electrical, heating, plumbing, ventilation, microgeneration and building fabric trades across the UK domestic, commercial and industrial markets. So you know our in good hands with us.

We do not charge for a call-out fee, only for the engineers’ time onsite. Our prices start from £75 + VAT and vary in the function required of the time and day our engineer is booked for a job (week-end and bank holidays for instance).

KD Electricians will send you an invoice and take a payment on completion of your job. We accept cash, most bank cards, and bank transfers, so you have a variety of ways to pay your invoice.
